Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Child/Youth Program Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing programs that engage and empower children and youth in our community. Your efforts will ensure that our initiatives foster a safe, inclusive, and enriching environment for all participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement age-appropriate programs and activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development for children and youth.
  • Collaborate with community partners, schools, and families to identify the needs of participants and create tailored programming.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise program staff and volunteers, ensuring they have the resources and support necessary to succeed.
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness through participant feedback, assessments, and data collection, making adjustments as needed.
  • Organize and facilitate workshops, events, and outreach activities to engage families and the broader community.
  • Maintain accurate records of participant enrollment, attendance, and program outcomes while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring responsible allocation of resources and funding.
  • Promote a culture of safety and respect by implementing and enforcing policies that protect the welfare of all children and youth involved in programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with children and youth in a program coordination or leadership role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with program management software.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while being self-motivated and capable of independent work.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in First Aid and CPR, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
  • Experience with grant writing and fundraising initiatives.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or another language is a plus.
  • Knowledge of local resources and community services for children and youth.
